Workshop: Measuring patient experiences in Europe: can we harmonize our instruments and methods? EUPHA Annual Conference 2008, Friday 7 November 2008, 16.30-18.00 hours
Survey of EUPHA-members of the section Health Services Research
Members of the EUPHA section Health Services Research are invited to participate in the workshop and to fill out a short questionnaire about the state of measuring patient experiences in their country.
Please click here to fill out the web questionnaire.
The survey is based on an OECD questionnaire developed by Garratt et al.
Background and aim
In November 2007 OECD member countries endorsed plans to develop internationally comparable measures of responsiveness or patient experiences. The aim of this workshop is to present the current situation in various European countries with respect to measuring patient experiences and to discuss the feasibility of harmonising instruments and methods. The workshop is organised in cooperation with OECD experts and the EUPHA section Health Services Research. The results of the workshop will be used as expert input for the OECD Health Care Quality Indicators Project.
Programme of the workshop
Results of the short survey of members of the EUPHA-section Health Services Research will be presented at the workshop. Apart from that, speakers from Norway, England and the Netherlands will give a presentation about measuring the experiences of hospital patients in their respective countries. For further information, please check the conference programme.
